IRLANDA / IRELAND - Dublin

Cidade/city: DUBLIN

Vários amigos a visitar em Dublin, capital da Irlanda. Jenny, conheci em Londres a 20 anos atras, é irlandesa e me recebeu por dois dias. Conheci o marido Keith e me apaixonei pelos três filhos deles: Luke, Eve and Lee.

Fizemos o sightseeing com o ônibus e depois descemos na famosa Guinness, a fabrica que faz a tradicional cerveja preta. Muito interessante e interativa a visita e no final ganhamos um copo... Tin-tin!

(There were few friends to visit in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Jenny was the first one, we worked together in London 20 years ago, she is Irish and received me for two days. I knew her husband Keith and I felt in love with her children: Luke, Eve and Lee.

We did sightseeing by bus and we visited the beer factory Guinness. It was very interesting to learn about it and we got a free pint of beer... Cheers!)

Marisol, de Jundiai, mora em Dublin com o marido Marcin e suas duas filhas Nicole e Maiara. Fiquei com eles quatro dias e pude sentir a rotina irlandesa, as crianças indo a escola, caminhadas, pubs... Adorei e agradeço ao acolhimento que tive.

Juntos fomos ao castelo de Malahide, jardim botânico e praias de Dublin.

(Marisol from Jundiai/Brazil lives with her husband Marcin and their two daughters Nicole and Maiara in Dublin. I stayed four days with them and I could feel the Irish routine, taking the girls to school, going for a walk, drinking in the pubs... I loved staying with you Marisol and I am very grateful for that.

IRLANDA / IRELAND - Cork, Killarney, Cliffs of Moher

Cidade/City: CORK

Cork fica no sudoeste da Irlanda e é a segunda maior cidade, depois de Dublin. O rio Lee divide a cidade.

(It is located in the South-west region and it is the second largest city after Dublin. The city is built on the river Lee.)

 

Fui ao castelo de Blarney que foi construído há mais de 600 anos. A pedra de Blarney é a maior atração pois diz a lenda que se você subir no topo do castelo e beijar a pedra, você terá o dom da eloqüência, nunca mais se perderá com as palavras... E é claro que lá eu subi e beijei a famosa pedra!
(I went to Blarney Castle which was built nearly 600 years ago. Over the last few hundred years millions of people have visited the Blarney stone, the legendary stone of eloquence, found in the top of the tower. I kissed it... So now I will never be lost for words).

 

 

Cidade/city: KILLARNEY

 

Fica no condado de Kerry e é popular entre os turistas devido ao King of Kerry, uma península de 170 km onde temos paisagens típicas da Irlanda, de tirar o fôlego. Podemos ver majestosas montanhas, belas praias, lagos, carneiros, enfim, uma visão panorâmica maravilhosa do Atlântico.

(It is located in the county of Kerry and it is one of the most famous place visited in Ireland. It is a panoramic road that surrounds the peninsula with a length of 170 km. We can see the majestic mountains, beautiful beaches, lakes, sheep, a magnificent panoramic view over the Atlantic.)

A cidade de Killarney é muito atrativa e aproveitei para assistir um show tipico do grupo Celtic steps.
(Killarney is a very attractive city and I watched a typical show with the group Celtic Steps.)

 

Lugar/place: CLIFFS OF MOHER

 

Fica no condado de Claire e são falésias de 214 metros de altura e 12 metros de comprimento que se alongam na costa do Atlântico. Quando você começa a caminhar seu coração começa a bater mais forte e um sentimento indescritível toma conta de você. Não é a toa que muitos filmes usam esse cenário, como por exemplo P.S. I love you.

(It is in the county of Claire and it is 214 metres in heigh and eight long miles stretch along the Atlantic coast. When you see these chunks of rocks your heart thumps and a soul-soaring felling hits you. This place has been used as a scenary for many films, "P.S. I love you" is one of them.)

Nesse passeio conheci as médicas brasileiras Denise e Patricia.
(I met two Brazilian doctors, Denise and Patricia, in this trip)

 

INGLATERRA / ENGLAND - Weymouth, Worthing and Brighton

Cidade/city: WEYMOUTH
Desta vez tive a oportunidade de conhecer varias partes do litoral, o que me deu outra visão da Inglaterra.

Estive em Weymouth visitando Anne, a mãe de um amigo. Uma cidade super gostosa para passar o verão. Foi usada durante as olimpíadas de 2012.

(I had the opportunity to visit different places at the seaside, visiting some friends. I visited Anne in Weymouth and this town was used during the   Olympics in 2012. It is a nice place to spend summer holidays.)

 

 

 

 
Cidade/city: WORTHING

 Worthing foi a cidade onde morei a 22 anos atras quando fiz meu intercâmbio de Inglês. Visitei meus "pais ingleses" os quais continuamos a ter contato até hoje. A cidade estava bem diferente e mais modernizada. Experiência maravilhosa!
(Worthing was the town where I lived 22 years ago when I had my first English course. I visited my host parents there and we have been in touch since my first visit. The city was different and more modern. It was a wonderful experience!)

 

 

Cidade/city: BRIGHTON

 Cidade próxima com muitas lojas e entretenimento, principalmente no píer. Fui visitar o palácio de Brighton o qual foi construído pelo rei George, todo em estilo chinês.
(Brighton is a lively city with lots of shops and entertainment, mainly in the pier. I visited the Brighton palace which was built by King George and it has the chinese architecture.)

 

 

 

 

INGLATERRA / ENGLAND - Torbay or English Riviera (Torquay, Paington and Brixthon)

TORBAY

Torbay é a composição de três cidades praianas que compõe a chamada English Riviera: Torquay, Paington (que é onde fiquei) e Brixthon.
Escolhi essa região pois a LAL oferece cursos para o Celta e eu queria participar. As aulas eram das 8.30 as 14.30 de segunda a sexta. Muito bom e recomendo aos que tiverem interesse de estudar inglês num lugar tranquilo e prazeroso. Fiquei hospedada no Hunter's lodge, uma das acomodações que a escola oferece.
(Torbay is the composition of three towns located in the English Riviera. I stayed in Paighton where LAL offers the Celta course. Classes were from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, really good and relaxing place to study. I stayed at Hunter's lodge, recommend by the school.)

 

Cidade/city: Paighton
É mais um lugar para passar férias com a família, pois possui muito entretenimento. Nas praias há as tradicionais casinhas para guardar coisas de pesca ou cadeira e guarda-sol.
(It is a family place with lots of entertainment and is very good to spend a holiday there. By the sea you can see the tradicional beach's house).

Cidade/city: Brixham

É mais uma vila pesqueira e no dia que estivemos estava acontecendo a festa dos Piratas.
(It is a fishing village and when we were there, the Pirate's party was taken place).

  

 

 

E a comida tradicional: peixe e batatas (com purê de ervilhas)
(The traditional food: fish & chips)

Cidade/city: Torquay

 É a maior das três e possui mais lojas e pubs.
(It is the biggest town in Torbay and there are many shops and pubs).

 

Fiquei 3 semanas nessa região de Devon e fizemos muitas caminhadas e passeios por lá. O creme com scone é muito famoso!
(I stayed three weeks in Devon and it is traditional there the Devonshire cream with scone. We also had some walking and visited places around there)

INGLATERRA / ENGLAND - Cornwall (Polperro, Looe and Land's End)

Cidade/city: Polperro, Looe e Land's End

Fizemos o passeio com a escola e visitamos essas duas cidadezinhas na região de Cornwall. Região muito linda com um cenário maravilhoso de praias e era famoso pelas minas onde os trabalhadores levavam o 'pasty' para o almoço, um tipo de pastel recheado com bordas grossas que após os mineiros comerem, eram jogadas fora para devido a contaminação.

(We visited these towns in Cornwall with the school. The region was so beautiful with nice beaches and it was famous because of the mines. In the past the mineworkers used to take pasty for lunch, which were filled with different meat and this snack still traditional there.)

 

 

 

Fizemos a caminhada de duas horas entre uma cidadezinha e outra. Cenários maravilhosos!
(We walked for more than two hours between one city to the other, and the landscapes were fabulous!)

 

 

LAND'S END é uma península e um cabo que fica no extremo sudoeste da Inglaterra e é famoso por sugerir distancia.
(It is a headland and smaller settlement in esterno Cornwall. Land's End has a particular resonance because it is often used to suggest distance.)

 

Visitamos também Saint Michael's mountain e Saint Ives.
(We also visited Saint Michael's mountain and Saint Ives).
