ALEMANHA / GERMANY - Hannover and Hamburg

Cidade/city: Hannover

Fui para Alemanha me encontrar com minha amiga alemã Marion, que já morou em Jundiai. Fomos primeiro visitar a mãe dela Betty que mora em Hannover e lá pude rever Anja e sua filhinha Anna que moram em Dublin na Irlanda, que eu já havia visitado em Junho.

(I went to Germany to visit my German friend Marion who lived in Jundiai few years ago. We went to Hamnover to see her mother Betty and there were Anja and her little daughter Anna, they live in Dublin/Ireland, who I had visited in June).

Depois do bombardeio na segunda guerra mundial, pouca coisa restou no centro antigo de Hannover. Durante as reformas parte das fachadas das construções foram transferidas para essa área.
(After the bombing raids of the Second world war there was almost nothing left of Hannover's old town. During the rebuildings, parts of the facades were transferred and concentrated in this area.)

Na parte nova da cidade não resisti a essa livraria no centro da cidade.
(I couldn't resist to stop by this bookshop at the city centre).

 

 

Os jardins e palácio de Herrenhausen é maravilhoso! Era a residência de verão da família real e foi toda destruída durante a guerra, mas agora foi toda reconstruída.
(Herrenhausen Palace and gardens - it was the summer residence of the Royal House of Hannover and was destroyed in the Second World War. Now it has been rebuilt on the original site).

Cidade/city: Hamburg

É a segunda maior cidade na Alemanha, com população de 1.7 milhões de habitantes, possui 2302 pontes, mais que Veneza e Amsterdã.
(It is the second largest city in Germany with its 1.7 million inhabitants. Hamburg has 2.302 bridges, more than Venice and Amsterdam.).

A Prefeitura é um prédio lindíssimo construído em 1897. Pudemos fazer um tour com guia dentro dela, Rathausdiele.
(The city Hall is an impressive building which was built in 1897. We had a guided tour in the Rathausdiele of the City Hall.)

 

É aqui nessa cidade que minha amiga Marion mora e me recebeu por vários dias. 'Dank Marion'
(My friend Marion live and work here and I stayed few days with her. Thank you Marion!)

Miniatur Wunderland

É uma exposição de trens e cidades miniaturas, famoso no mundo todo, e foi construída pelos gêmeos Gerrit e Frederick Braun.

(A world-famous model train and miniature exhibition, built by the twins Gerrit and Frederick Braun).
